Smash Übersicht
Fight your friends or CPU fighters on your favorite stages with your preferred rules in Smash mode. Up to four players can play.
Rule Settings
Compete for the most KOs within the time limit. When you KO an opponent, you get +1 point. When you get KO’d or self-destruct, you get -1 point. If there are multiple players with the same number of KOs when time runs out, they’ll be thrust into a Sudden Death battle where all participants will start with 300% damage.
The number of Kos you get doesn’t matter-it’s all about being the last fighter standing. You start with a set stock of lives that decreases by one every time you get KO’d. If your stock drops to zero, you’re out of the battle.
This rule setting is only available in the Wii U version. The player who collects the most coins within the time limit wins. Hit enemies to knock coins out of them, and then pick up the coins. You’ll lose some coins if you get KO’d.
Special Smash
Special Smash is only available in the Wii U version. In this mode, you can set various rules for a Smash battle. You can set fighter health to Stamina mode, equip fighters with items, make all fighters move at high speed, and more.
*Special Smash cannot be selected in online battles.
8 Player Support
For the first time ever in the Smash Bros. series, you can play with up to eight players at once! This game mode is only available in the Wii U version.
* 8-Player Smash cannot be selected in online battles.
Rules for 8-Player Smash
Only the Time and Stock rule settings can be used in 8-Player Smash. In Team Battles, you can fight with up to four teams. (Team colors are red, blue, green, and yellow.) Also, only some of the stages are available in 8-Player Smash.
Compatible Controllers
In an eight-player battle, the following controllers can be used.
○Wii U GamePad (Max 1)
○Wii Remote or Wii Remote Plus* (Max 7)
○Wii U Pro Controller (Max 7)
○Nintendo GameCube controller** (Max 8)
○Nintendo 3DS series system*** (Max 8)
* Includes expansion controllers (such as the Nunchuk or Classic Controller Pro).
** Two GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U accessories are required to connect eight GameCube controllers (each sold separately)
*** In order to use a Nintendo 3DS as a controller, each Nintendo 3DS system must have Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.
Events Übersicht
In the Wii U version, you can take on themed challenges in Events mode. Some of these challenges‘ themes are closely related to the original games of specific characters, while others simply have unique conditions for success.
As you clear events, more events will be unlocked. During your journey through Events mode, you may encounter rewards and hidden routes!
Co-op Events
There’s also a separate two-player Events mode that requires you and another player to team up to overcome challenges.

Meine Musik Überblick
There’s a huge number of songs included in the Wii U version, and you can adjust how often a song plays by going into My Music.
You can freely adjust the settings so all songs have an equal chance of playing or make it so only one song plays.
In My Music, you can adjust the song settings not only for the stages, but for the menu screen as well.
How to Get More Songs
The songs are not all available at the start of the game. Find CD items in the game to expand your collection. CDs can appear during matches or as rewards in Challenges.
Most of the songs from the Nintendo 3DS version are available in the Wii U version. There are also songs from past titles and new songs too. You can see the list of musicians and their songs via the following link:
